Tripoli, November 16, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi,” discussed on Wednesday evening in Tripoli with the UN envoy, “Abdullah Batili,” the political challenges facing the activation of electoral laws.
Batili said through his account on the “X” platform that the meeting also dealt with the progress of the national reconciliation process, and praised the continued commitment shown by the Presidential Council, together with the African Union, regarding this important file, as he described it.
During the meeting, the UN envoy stressed the need for the main institutional actors to assume their responsibilities and engage in good faith in finding peaceful solutions to the controversial issues that delay the holding of elections in Libya.
