Takala discusses Bathily’s initiative in Washington.

Washington, November 14, 2023 (Lana) The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, met yesterday with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for North African Affairs, Josh Harris, and U.S. Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, in the presence of the delegation of HCS, which included Jumaa Al-Shawish, Hassan Al-Habib, and Muhammad Muazib.
The communication office of the HCS stated that the meeting was held at the headquarters of the US State Department and focused on the most important political files in the Middle East, in addition to ways to solve the Libyan political crisis.
During the meeting, the initiative of the UN Special Representative, Aboulaye Bathily, which he intends to present soon, was discussed.
