The House of Representatives adds new articles to the law criminalizing dealing with the Zionist entity

Benghazi, November 13, 2023 (LANA) - The House of Representatives voted unanimously on Monday to add some provisions to Law No. (62) of 1957 criminalizing dealing with the Zionist entity.

The law criminalizes traveling to and from the Zionist entity or establishing relations with natural or legal entities affiliated with it.

According to the law that the House of Representatives voted on in the official session held today at its headquarters in Benghazi, the penalty for natural persons dealing with holders of the citizenship of the Zionist entity is up to 5 years in prison and a fine of 10,000 Libyan dinars.

The penalty for legal persons who violate the provisions of the law reaches 7 years in prison, removal from leadership and job positions, and deprivation of civil rights.

The Council also decided to address all state institutions to provide full support, aid and facilities to the Palestinian people to confront the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
