The House of Representatives is considering establishing a national emergency and crisis authority

Benghazi, November 13, 2023 (LANA) - On Monday, the House of Representatives approved the formation of a committee to prepare a draft law to establish a National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Authority.
This came during the official session today, Monday, at the council’s headquarters in the city of Benghazi, which was held under the chairmanship of the first vice president of the council, “Fawzi Al-Nuwairi,” and the second vice president, “Misbah Douma.”
The House of Representatives said that a proposal to establish a national authority for emergencies, crises and disasters was presented by a number of members of the House of Representatives, for the purpose of establishing a body that would deal with any disasters and crises that may occur in the country in coordination with all state institutions.
