U.S. Chargé d'Affaires reviews with Minister of Planning aspects of cooperation in the electricity sector.

Tripoli, November 11, 2023 (Lana): U.S. Chargé d'Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, met with the GNU Minister of Planning, Mohamed Al-Zidani, on the sidelines of the US Agency for International Development conference for the electricity sector in Tunisia, according to a tweet by the U.S. Embassy.
Berndt said that U.S. technical support aims to help Libya modernize its energy sector, strengthen transparency, and improve service delivery.
“We also had the chance to discuss U.S. partnership with Libyans to help communities rebuild after conflict and the catastrophic floods two months ago, and the U.S. stands with Derna, Murzuq, and local communities throughout Libya,” he added.
