Al-Dabaiba follows up with the Minister of Youth on the ministry’s plan to develop youth facilities throughout the country.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, November 9, 2023 (LANA) - During his meeting with the Minister of Youth, Fathallah Al-Zani, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, followed up on the Ministry of Youth’s plan to raise efficiency, maintain and develop youth facilities throughout the country, and build local youth councils.
According to the official page of the Prime Minister’s Media Office on Wednesday, during the meeting, Al-Zani presented an executive position on the implementation of maintenance and development projects for youth facilities that have not received attention since 1981, and the completion of 78 projects during the current year, and work continues with a high completion rate to implement 32 projects, while the Ministry is working on operating 11 projects were stopped for various reasons. The Ministry also provided scout uniforms and various supplies for youth hostels to enable them to implement youth programs and events.
Al-Zani also presented a position to the Prime Minister on building local youth councils through implementing local elections, of which 74 municipalities were held, and work is underway to complete the rest of the municipalities, explaining that these councils aim to build new young leaders.
According to the same source, the Minister of Youth also presented to Al-Dabaiba a position on the ministry’s programs represented in summer schools, mountain and desert camps, the Insights of Hope program for young preachers, the retreats program for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and the Leaders of Hope programs to build youth capabilities that target more than 9,000 young men and women.
For his part, Al-Dabaiba directed the Ministry of Youth to pay attention to all Libyan youth in all cities and regions, and to complete the maintenance and development of youth facilities to be ready to implement all youth programs and activities, and the need to focus on programs aimed at raising the capabilities of Libyan youth.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Prime Minister's Affairs Adel Gomaa.
