Tripoli, November 09, 2023  (LANA) - The Minister of Education, Musa Muhammad Al-Magarif, met with his Tunisian counterpart, Muhammad Ali Al-Boughdiri, on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which is being held at the organization’s headquarters during the period from 07 - 22 of this November.

During the meeting - which was attended by the ministry’s advisor for information technology, and a number of department directors in the Tunisian Ministry of Education - they reviewed the bilateral agreement that the two ministries intend to sign during the coming period.

The meeting reviewed the conditions of Libyan students in Tunisian schools, and Tunisian students in Libyan schools. The two sides also agreed to subject the draft agreement to a comprehensive review by both sides, in preparation for its signing during an expanded bilateral meeting that brings together all departments and stakeholders in the two ministries.

Al-Magarif said that his meeting with Al-Boughdiri comes as a continuation of the meeting that was held in the Tunisian capital last month, stressing the ministry’s readiness to work with the joint cooperation agreement.

The agreement deals with all educational aspects of common interest, such as curricula, examinations, evaluation, educational guidance, training and development, and other joint educational programs.
