Al-Dabaiba discusses with the British Ambassador the return of his country’s embassy to full operation from Tripoli.

Tripoli, November 8, 2023 (LANA) - During his meeting today, Wednesday in Tripoli, with the new British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, “Abdulhamid Dabaiba,” discussed the return of the British Embassy to full operation from the capital, Tripoli, facilitating visa procedures for Libyans, and activating economic, technical, and educational cooperation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that during the meeting, Al-Dabaiba stressed the position of the Libyan people and the government on what is happening in Gaza and their support for the Palestinian people in their just demands, stressing the need to intensify international efforts in supporting Libya to hold presidential and parliamentary elections in accordance with a permanent constitution for the country.

According to the same source, Ambassador Longden expressed his country’s support for local and international efforts to stabilize Libya and hold elections in accordance with fair and agreed-upon laws, and the plan of the UN envoy Abdullah Batili regarding the Libyan file in all its aspects.

The media office indicated that the meeting also discussed the embassy’s contribution to facilitating the procedures for new delegates in the government’s plan in terms of admission and visas to choose the United Kingdom as a destination for their studies.
