The League of Arab States organizes a meeting to launch a campaign to prepare humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.

Cairo, November 8, 2023 (LANA) - The General Secretariat of the Arab League organized today, Wednesday, an emergency meeting to launch an official and popular Arab campaign to prepare the necessary humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.

The meeting discussed ways to take political action to stop the Israeli aggression, achieve peace and security, and continue providing various forms of humanitarian and relief support from member states, various organizations, public and civil official bodies, and the private sector.

The meeting also discussed opening the door to volunteering to help prepare for this campaign and transform it into a popular campaign that reaches all segments of society so that everyone can participate and show the spirit of solidarity with the people of Gaza, as well as supporting Gaza in the reconstruction and development phase to reach stable economic and social livelihoods.

The Arab League will mobilize the necessary and sufficient funding to meet the enormous needs and work on media documentation of all these efforts, in cooperation with the United Nations refugee relief agency UNRWA.
