Ministry of Health Undersecretary meets with the representative of the WHO in Libya

Tripoli, November 08, 2023 (LANA) - Undersecretary of the Health Ministry for Technical Affairs and Diwan, Samir Koko, met with the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), and the head of the mission in Libya, Ahmed Zuwaiten.

The meeting discussed ways of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the organization through specific and integrated work plans to implement the strategic plan for health emergencies 2024-2025, within the framework of working to advance and improve the health system.

The Undersecretary expressed the Ministry's keenness to strengthen the partnership with the World Health Organization in implementing health projects and focusing on needs according to importance.

For his part, the representative of the WHO reiterated the organization’s support for the health projects of the Ministry of Health and the continued development and enrichment of areas of partnership.
