Abdullah Al-Lafi chairs a consultation meeting at the Humanitarian Dialogue Center in Geneva on national reconciliation in Libya

Geneva, November 6, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, chaired, on Monday, the opening session of the consultative meeting on national reconciliation, which was launched by the Presidential Council and organized by the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva, Switzerland.

  Researchers and international experts specialized in dialogue, conflict resolution and reconciliation discussed the national reconciliation project in Libya and what the Council achieved through the project’s strategic vision, the holding of the preparatory conference and the efforts to reach an inclusive national conference.

The meeting discussed how national reconciliation can contribute to strengthening Libyan identity by preserving national constants, where Al-Lafi stressed that the Presidential Council has placed on itself the responsibility of the national reconciliation file, its success and the achievement of its goals, with pure ownership of the Libyan people.
