UNSMIL receives a written proposal from the constitutional equality movement on how to improve the constitutional rules.
Pulbished on:Tripoli November 06, 2023 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya received the constitutional equality movement, proposing how to improve the Libyan constitutional rules to ensure the enjoyment of equal rights and full political participation of all Libyan citizens.
This came during the reception of the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary -General of the United Nations "Risidon Zeninga" yesterday, Sunday, a delegation of the constitutional equality movement that included activists and representatives of women of the cultural components of the Amazigh, Arabs, Tabu and Tuareg, according to what the UN mission published through its official Facebook page.
The members of the delegation presented their views on the necessity of fair political participation and representation in the sovereign institutions of all groups of Libyan society, especially women and cultural components.
They also stressed the importance of holding elections based on a constitutional framework that guarantees the equal rights of women and for all the components of the four Libyan nation.
