During his meeting with the designated Minister of Health, Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of implementing the medicine system and linking it to all health institutions.

Tripoli, November 2, 2023 (LANA) - Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, on Wednesday, followed up on the executive procedures for public tender for the health sector, during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health-designate Ramadan Abu Jannah.

   According to the government information office, during the meeting, Abu Jannah presented a detailed position on the technical and financial measures taken by the Medical Supply Authority and the Ministry’s Central Tenders Committee, explaining that the Central Bank received more than 90 letters of credit for specialized medicines that will cover the need for them.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of implementing the medicine system and linking it to all health institutions, and for the medical supply system to disclose all the medicines and supplies that were distributed.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to implement job cadres for the health sector to benefit from medical and paramedical personnel, and to place them according to the needs of health facilities and to classify workers in the sector in terms of medical, administrative and advisory qualifications to determine the actual need in this sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the need to address all the points mentioned in the Audit Bureau’s report on the health sector, and to work with all the state’s supervisory and executive institutions regarding them.
