Emergency medicine exhumes remains of deceased persons and bags of body parts from the al-Dhahr al-Hamar cemetery.

Derna, October 31, 2023 (LANA) - The Forensic Medicine Support Team, affiliated with the Emergency Medicine and Support Center, exhumed (25) remains of the deceased, and four bags of human remains, from “al-Dahr al-Hamar” cemetery, belonging to victims who were buried during the first days of the disaster that swept the eastern region.
According to the center, the remains were placed in body bags after confirming the total number, and procedures for reorganizing their burials began. This process is followed and supervised by the Public Prosecution and the Missing Persons Search Authority.
