Tripoli, October 30, 2023 (LANA) - The 444th Combat Brigade of the Tripoli Military District announced today, Monday, the capture of a group of Chadian mercenaries in a controlled ambush in the city of Gharyan.
The media office of the 444th Fighting Brigade confirmed in a video posted on its official Facebook page that a special detachment of the Al-Sayqa forces affiliated with the brigade was able to capture that group and seize all their weapons and ammunition.
Yesterday, Sunday, the city of Gharyan witnessed armed clashes that resulted in two deaths and four others injured.
Complete calm returned to the city on Monday morning, after a force affiliated with the National Unity Government extended its control over the city.
