Tripoli, October 30, 2023 (Lana) The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, stressed the need for joint coordination with the Passports and Nationality Department regarding entry procedures for expatriate workers to ensure that workers are not exploited and to combat human trafficking.

Al-Abed, in his meeting yesterday with the Head of the Passports, Nationality, and Foreigners Affairs Department, Major General Youssef Murad, stressed the need to work on this with the ministry according to the procedures of the Wafid digital platform.

For his part, Murad commended the procedures taken by the ministry by granting employment permits and conducting inspection campaigns to control the labor market, stressing the support of the Authority through the Passport Investigation Department to arrest violators and take the necessary measures.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s office, was attended by the Director of the Employment Office at the Authority, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Tabuni.
