Tripoli 28 October 2023 (Lana) Delegation of the House of Representatives (HoR), headed by First Deputy Speaker of the HoR, Fawzi Al-Nwairi, and Member of the HoR, Sutlana Al-Mismari, concluded its participation in the work of the 147th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the 212th session of the Ruling Council in the Angolan capital, Luanda.

The spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Belihaq, said in a press statement today,” Today in the conclusion session, Tulia Axon from Tanzania was elected as the new President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union by direct secret election.”

“The closing session also included a review of the progress report by the Secretary-General on the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union since the 211th session of the Ruling Council, in addition to the activities of other committees and bodies.” Belihaq added.
