During its participation in the work of the 147th General Assembly of the International Parliament, the House of Representatives delegation called for an end to the genocide of the people of Gaza.

Tripoli, October 23, 2023 (LANA) - The House of Representatives called for an immediate halt to the genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, and to stop the bloodshed and clear violations of human rights.

This was stated by the head of the Council delegation participating in the meetings of the Arab Geopolitical Group during the work of the 147th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the Angolan capital,

    According to what was reported by the Council’s spokesman, “Abdullah Blehaq,” in a press statement today, Monday, the delegation was headed by the First Deputy of the Council, “Fawzi Al-Nuwairi,” who “insisted on including an emergency item on the Palestinian issue” to discuss the latest humanitarian situation as a result of the brutal attack on Gaza by the Zionist entity.

The representative of the Arab Geopolitical Group in the International Parliament also presented the group’s work since the previous General Assembly of Parliament was held in Bahrain, and the participating delegations agreed on the candidates for vacant positions in the permanent and subsidiary committees of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, according to Blehaq’s statement.
