Marrakesh, October 17, 2023 (Lana): The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) discussed with his Maltese counterpart the cooperation between the Libyan and Maltese banks.

This came during a meeting held in Marrakesh, Morocco, in the presence of the team accompanying Al-Kabeer and the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Malta.

The two sides also discussed existing cooperation between the Libyan Financial Information Unit and its Maltese counterpart in the areas of combating money laundering and terrorist financing and compliance with European Union requirements for banking.
