Marrakesh, October 17, 2023 (Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, participated in the meeting of the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristina Georgieva, with the governors of central banks in the Middle East and North Africa.

The CBL stated on its official website that the meeting held in Marrakesh, Morocco, discussed financial situations in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, the experiences of countries in the region, the measures taken to reduce the impact of successive financial crises on the global economy, and the political crises that some countries in the region are going through.

The bank added that the meeting discussed the agreement to unify efforts between central banks and finance ministries in pursuing financial and economic policies that support sustainable growth, reduce inflation and unemployment, and fight poverty and climate repercussions.
