New York, October 16, 2023 (LANA) - Russia's representative to the United Nations expressed his country's readiness to work with all interested parties to limit the presence of any foreign powers in Libya.
He said in his speech before the Security Council session on Libya on Monday that the elections in Libya would end the current situation and the version issued by the 6+6 Committee of the electoral laws must be taken seriously.
The Russian delegate added that the simultaneous and comprehensive parliamentary and presidential elections for all parties represent the ideal solution in Libya, stressing that the division in Libya undermines the possibility of achieving peace.
