New York, October 16, 2023 (LANA) - The American delegate to the United Nations called on all parties in Libya to work with the UN mission in order to resolve differences and achieve consensus to reach the elections that the Libyans are waiting for.
In her speech before the UN Security Council session on Libya, on Monday, she again expressed her country’s support for the work of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya in order to establish a sound path towards elections and to elect a government that represents all Libyans.
The American delegate reiterated the necessity of leaving the mercenary fighters affiliated with the Wagner Group, which she said wants to increase the extent of its deployment in Libyan territory.
