Libya's delegate to the United Nations calls for addressing the controversial points in election laws

New York, October 16, 2023 (LANA) - Libya’s representative to the United Nations, Al-Taher Al-Sunni, called on Monday for the need to address the controversial points in the election laws with a clear mechanism and according to a specific schedule so that the laws are enforceable.
In his speech during the UN Security Council session on Libya, Al-Sunni stressed the necessity of creating appropriate conditions for elections and supporting the High National Elections Commission to hold presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
