Tripoli, October 15, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Sunday, the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi,” discussed with the Committee for Support and Relief of Those Affected in the City of Derna the repercussions of the disaster that the city witnessed and the possibility of providing all types of support to help citizens in Derna and its surrounding areas.
During the meeting, Al-Manfi renewed his condolences to the people of the city of Derna and all the affected areas, stressing his full support for the affected citizens by forming a committee of experts from these areas for redevelopment, reconstruction, and compensation for those affected.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation thanked, on behalf of the city of Derna and the rest of the affected areas, the President of the Presidential Council for his support of the affected areas and the rapid response and his call to the international community since the first days of the disaster to support these affected areas with the technical teams and capabilities that contributed to the search for bodies and missing persons and to assist those affected.
