Tripoli, October 15, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met this Sunday morning with the Sudanese Ambassador to Libya, Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Director of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

   The Presidential Council's media office reported that the Sudanese ambassador briefed Al-Lafi on the humanitarian conditions resulting from the continuation of the war and its repercussions on the brotherly Sudanese people in all fields.

According to the media office, Al-Lafi affirmed Libya’s support for the efforts aimed at restoring stability in Sudan, in order for the Sudanese people to enjoy security and peace, stressing the importance of monitoring the situation on the Libyan-Sudanese border, through an effective mechanism to protect it, and ensuring the stability of the region in these circumstances, noting in In the same context, the historical relations and ties that bring the two countries together.
