Minister of Finance discusses with the President of the African Export-Import Bank Libya's membership in the bank.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, October 15, 2023 (Lana) The GNU Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, discussed yesterday with the President of the African Export-Import Bank, Benedict Oramah, the possibility of Libya joining the bank’s membership, which all African countries have joined except Libya.
This came during a meeting held by Al-Mabrouk and his accompanying delegation with Oramah on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, currently held in Marrakesh, Morocco, in the presence of a number of the bank’s officials and experts.
The meeting also discussed aspects of cooperation between the African Export-Import Bank and different Libyan sectors and institutions, especially in the areas that the bank specializes in financing and establishing partnerships in, such as industrial projects, infrastructure projects, free zones, trade financing programs, and other different areas.
