Al-Manfi: The Libyans continue to provide all available support to the Palestinian people.

Tripoli, October 13, 2023 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi,” confirmed that the Libyan state and the Libyans continue to provide all available support to the Palestinian people.

This came during his meeting yesterday, Thursday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Libya, "Mohammed Rahal," according to what was published by the Media Office of the President of the Council on his official Facebook page.

Al-Manfi said that the Libyan people have always been at the forefront in providing sacrifices, aid and support to their Palestinian brothers even before the establishment of the Libyan state, stressing that he personally follows up with all Libyan authorities the situation in Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories and the practices they are exposed to that contradict international law and international humanitarian law. .

During the meeting, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Libya, "Mohammed Rahal," conveyed the greetings of President "Mahmoud Abbas" and his appreciation for the Libyan position towards the genocide and brutal aggression against the Palestinian people.

Rahal also gave a briefing on the situation in Gaza, which threatens a humanitarian crisis as a result of cutting off water and electricity and preventing the arrival of food and medical supplies by the occupation authorities.

The Chargé d'Affaires also expressed the Palestinian National Authority's aspiration that Libya would contribute, through its African and international relations, to mobilizing an international political position to prevent the occupying state from continuing its war on Gaza and its terrorist practices in the West Bank and Holy Jerusalem, in addition to making efforts to open the door for the delivery of aid to civilians besieged in Gaza, and allowing the wounded, sick and injured to be transported outside the Gaza Strip.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chargé d'Affairs presented the President of the Presidential Council with the Palestinian keffiyeh and presented him with an artistic painting of Al-Aqsa Mosque in recognition of the role played by the State of Libya and the President of the Presidential Council in supporting the Palestinian cause.
