Tripoli, October 11, 2023 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, discussed this evening, Wednesday, with the American envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and his accompanying delegation, the latest political developments in Libya and ways to advance the political process to reach free and fair elections as soon as possible.
According to what was published by the media office of the President of the Presidential Council, the American envoy affirmed the international community’s support for the work of the Supreme Financial Committee and the accompanying measures to achieve development and reconstruction in all parts of Libya, especially the cities of Derna and the Jabal Akhdar areas affected by the floods that swept them during last September.
In turn, Al-Manfi affirmed the Presidential Council's keenness to reach a comprehensive political settlement that would lead to elections whose results would be acceptable to everyone.
