Tripoli, October 11, 2023 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, and the two representatives of the Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, discussed today, Wednesday, with the UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, the developments in the political situation in Libya and the reconstruction of areas affected by the floods.

According to the media office of the President of the Council, Batili provided the Presidential Council with a briefing on developments in the political situation in Libya and his visits and talks to reach a real and comprehensive political settlement in Libya.

The meeting touched on the repercussions of the floods in Derna and Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, which led to the death of thousands of citizens, and ways to support them and unify efforts for their reconstruction and development.

During the meeting, the results and laws of the 6+6 committee were also discussed, which requires many agreements to reach parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible, according to the media office.
