Tripoli, 10 October 2023 (Lana) Yesterday, the Netherlands handed over to the GNU Ministry of Interior devices and equipment to detect forgery and counterfeiting of secured documents.
This came during a meeting between the Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Major General Nour al-Din Jarida, and the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Libya, Joost Klarenbeek, in the presence of representatives of the Passports, Nationality, and Foreigners Affairs Department, the General Administration of Training, the Department of Supply Affairs, and the International Cooperation Office in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
The Ministry of Interior, through its communication office, affirmed that this meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Department of Relations and Cooperation, discussed ways to activate cooperation in the area of maintaining security and combating crimes and the possibility of concluding a security cooperation agreement between Libya and the Netherlands, in addition to preparing to hold training courses for the Libyan side during the next November.
