Tripoli, October 9, 2023 (LANA) - The German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, stressed the importance of concerted efforts to provide all types of support and reconstruction to the areas affected by the floods that struck eastern Libya.
This came during his meeting today with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, this afternoon, according to what was published by the Media Office of the President of the Council on his official Facebook page.
During the meeting, Uumacht provided a briefing on his visit to the city of Derna and the rest of the affected areas in the east of the country as a result of the floods caused by Hurricane Daniel over the past period, calling for the importance of concerted efforts to provide all types of support and reconstruction to these areas.
During the meeting, developments in the political situation in Libya were also reviewed, and ways to end all transitional stages and achieve consensus between the parties participating in the political process to reach elections as soon as possible.
