Al-Koni meets the German ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, October 9, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, met this Monday morning with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, to discuss the latest developments in the situation in Libya, ways to end the transitional stages, and work with the UN envoy to achieve consensus between the participating parties in the political process, to hold elections.
The Presidential Council's media office said that Al-Koni praised Germany's active role in the previous tracks, and stressed the need to unify efforts to develop a road map in cooperation with countries interested in the Libyan file to ensure stability.
According to the office, the meeting touched on the Derna disaster, the areas adjacent to it, and how to unify efforts to rebuild it, through a fund or body responsible for supervising the reconstruction process. The city of Murzuq was also mentioned and emphasis was placed on its reconstruction and the return of life to it.
