Supreme Judiciary: The investigation committee into the Derna Dam disaster reviewed documents related to the incident

Tripoli, October 8, 2023 (LANA) - The committee assigned by the President of the Supreme Judicial Council to investigate the disaster of the Wadi Derna dam collapse held its meeting today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Judicial Bodies Inspection Department in Tripoli.

The committee reviewed a number of investigations, documents and reports received related to the incident, and also discussed the mechanisms and ways necessary to determine the truth and address the relevant authorities.

The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Muftah Muhammad Al-Qawi, issued Resolution No. (88) of 2023 regarding the formation of a committee specialized in investigating the collapse of the Derna dams, and holding accountable those proven to be involved in this tragic incident.
