Al-Lafi meets with the German Ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli 8 October 2023 (Lana) Deputy at the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received today the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the political process in Libya, ways to end transitional stages, achieve consensus between the parties participating in the political process, and reach free and transparent elections whose results are accepted by all.
The conditions of Derna and the rest of the eastern Libyan cities affected by floods and torrents were also reviewed, and the importance of working to combine international efforts in providing assistance.
Al-Lafi stressed the need to establish a body that would fully supervise the reconstruction process in Derna and other affected cities, away from any tensions or political exploitation.
