Japanese Government: We are ready to provide more necessary aid to the affected areas in eastern Libya.

Tripoli, October 8, 2023 (Lana): The Japanese Government announced it would provide $3 million in emergency grant aid to Libya to help those affected by the floods that swept east of the country.
According to the Japanese News Agency (Jiji), the government will implement emergency grant aid through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UNICEF.
The government also announced the allocation of $2 million to support the effort of the IOM in providing healthcare, shelter, and other essential relief items.
The government stressed that it will continue to stand by the people of Libya and is ready to consider further necessary assistance in response to the needs on the ground.
