Libya and Qatar sign a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of civil aviation and air transport.

Tripoli, September 28, 2023 (WALA) - Today, Thursday, at the Ministry of Transportation in Tripoli, a memorandum of understanding was signed with initials for cooperation in the field of civil aviation and air transport between the Civil Aviation Authority and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the State of Qatar.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on the Libyan side by the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, “Muhammad Shalibak,” and on the Qatari side by the acting head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, “Muhammad Al-Hajri.”
This memorandum comes within the framework of the two parties’ efforts to enhance and develop joint cooperation in the field of civil aviation in general.
The memorandum aims to establish a framework of work between the two parties in developing and operating channels of joint cooperation between them in the field of air safety, air traffic management, civil aviation security and facilities, meteorological services, legal affairs, exchanging trained and qualified competencies, and organizing workshops and training courses.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Air Transport Affairs, Khaled Suwaisi, and the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khaled bin Mohammed Al-Dosari.
