Al-Koni meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya.

Tripoli, September 25, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, met today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya, “Kanaan Yilmaz,” who offered his country’s condolences to the government and people for the victims of the floods that recently swept the city of Derna and its surrounding areas.
During the meeting, the Turkish ambassador affirmed his country's continued support with human and logistical capabilities to recover the bodies of the victims and treat the sick and injured in field hospitals, praising Libya's position in supporting and assisting Turkey when it was hit by an earthquake last February.
In turn - according to the Presidential Media Office - Al-Koni appreciated the efforts of the State of Turkey in operating an air relief bridge and sending specialized rescue teams to support the Libyan teams.
The meeting discussed aspects of Libyan-Turkish cooperation in many fields, especially the reconstruction of Derna and neighboring areas, and creating spatial development in the cities of the south to ensure its stability, including resuming work on vital projects that have been suspended for years.
