Tripoli, September 20, 2023 (LANA) - The European Union revealed the start of producing updated geographical maps via the Union’s “Copernicus” satellite to support local and international rescue teams working in the cities of eastern Libya to help flood victims.
The European Union mission in Libya said in a statement on its website that the Copernicus satellite produces maps that provide necessary geospatial information to help rescue teams coordinate and support the most affected people.
The mission confirmed that these efforts come within the framework of its efforts to support the response to the tragic floods that struck Libya.
