Turkey sends three aid planes to Libya.
Pulbished on:Ankara, September 12, 2023 (Lana): The Turkish Foreign Ministry said today that Turkey will send three planes to carry rescue teams and humanitarian aid to Libya as a result of the torrents and floods that struck eastern Libya.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously said on the X platform that the rescue team will include 168 individuals, two search and rescue vehicles, and two rescue boats.
He explained that the planes, which also carry hundreds of tents, power generators, food, and clothes, adding that members of the Turkish Gendarmerie and Disaster and Emergency Management Forces (AFAD) will be among the rescuers.
