Tripoli, September 8, 2023 (LANA) - The UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, through his account on X, said that he agreed with the representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, on the urgent need to finalize the legal framework for the elections and address controversial issues through a comprehensive dialogue in the spirit of consensus, which will enable the country to move forward towards elections and restoring popular legitimacy to all institutions.
According to the UN mission in Libya, Al-Lafi and Batili discussed the current political and security situation in the country, stressing the importance of harmonious work in national institutions.
