Trabelsi assures Batili of the Ministry of Interior's full readiness to secure and protect the country's elections.

Tripoli, September 7, 2023 (LANA) - Interior Minister-designate Imad Trabelsi discussed with the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, a number of security issues.

During a meeting held today, Thursday, the two sides also discussed the file of illegal immigration, protecting and guarding borders, combating transnational organized crime, and what the ministry has achieved by its competent agencies in this regard, according to the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting, Trabelsi reviewed the ministry’s work plan and the positive results it achieved that contributed to security stability, explaining that the Ministry is fully prepared to secure and protect elections at the national level to establish the foundations of security throughout Libya.

For his part, Batili praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior and the resulting positive impact on the security situation, according to the Ministry.
