During the phone call that took place on Tuesday, the two ministers discussed the latest developments in Libya and the United Nations' support for free and fair elections, according to a statement by the US State Department.
The two ministers stressed the need to find a diplomatic solution in Niger and discussed efforts to deal with the conflict in Sudan.
