Moscow, August 23, 2023 (LANA) - The leader and founder of the Russian security company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was killed in the crash of a private plane that was carrying him from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and 9 other people were killed with him.
And the Russian authorities announced that a private passenger plane with 10 people on board crashed Wednesday in the Tver region during an internal flight between Moscow and St. Petersburg, confirming that everyone on board was killed.
And the Russian Civil Aviation Authority announced that Prigozhin was on the passenger list of the private plane that crashed.
For its part, the Russian Emergencies Ministry announced the opening of an investigation into the circumstances of the plane crash north of Moscow, in which the founder of the Wagner company was on its passenger list.
