Egypt and America discuss developments in Libya, Sudan, and Niger.

Cairo, August 22, 2023 (Lana) The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, discussed with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, the developments in the regional and international arenas, especially the situations in Libya, Sudan, and Niger.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two ministers discussed by phone the results of the meeting of the Arab Liaison Committee on Syria, in addition to the recent developments in Palestinian territories.

The two ministers stressed the importance to work on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, by advancing various developmental, economic, and military cooperation frameworks, stressing their commitment to continue coordination and consultation during the upcoming period to follow up cooperation tracks between the two countries.
