Washington, August 10, 2023 (LANA) - The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Ataf, discussed yesterday, Wednesday in Washington, with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, developments in the situation in Libya, Niger, and Mali.
According to a publication of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Ataf and Blinken" affirmed the compatibility of their countries' positions and their endeavors to favor peaceful solutions to these crises in a way that spares the region the dangers of the military option.
They also reviewed the reality and prospects of Algerian-American relations, as well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest, according to the same source.
