The Ambassador of the European Union to Libya confirms the continued support of the European Union to Libya.

Tripoli, August 8, 2023 (LANA) - The European Union's ambassador to Libya, "José Sabadell," affirmed today, Tuesday, the European Union's continued support for Libya until the stage of stability reaches the success of the electoral process that the Libyan people aspire to.

The European ambassador, during the reception of the deputy in the Presidential Council, "Musa al-Koni", praised him today, Tuesday, on the occasion of the end of his term in Libya, for the efforts of the Presidential Council in resolving many files, including the opening of the coastal road, and the steps taken in the national reconciliation project, which has reached advanced stages and unified it for government institutions.

According to the Presidential Council, Jose also praised the fruitful cooperation he sought from the Presidential Council throughout his tenure, which contributed to the development of friendly and respectful relations between Libya and the European Union.

During the meeting, the European ambassador also affirmed the mission's continued cooperation with the Presidential Council, announcing that it will carry out its work during the coming period from the capital, Tripoli, according to the Presidential Council.

For his part, the deputy in the Presidential Council, Musa al-Koni, praised the mission's work in the joint cooperation files between Libya and the European Union, especially in the area of supporting the Electoral Commission and border security and development files.
