Tripoli, August 7, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Monday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba," discussed with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, "Abdullah Batili," the election file and the latest political developments in the country.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated that "Batili" gave "Dabaiba" during the meeting a briefing on his recent tour with the Libyan parties, in a way that serves the direct access to the elections and the end of the transitional stages.
In this context, Al-Dabaiba affirmed the government's keenness to move towards direct elections, according to fair and impartial laws.
