Libya confirms its support for the path of returning to the constitutional order and respect for legitimacy in Niger

Tripoli, August 02, 2023 (LANA) - The Government of National Unity called on all the actors in the Republic of Niger to exercise restraint, rule over the voice of reason, and spare the country the consequences of security chaos and internal strife, and follow the methods of peaceful transfer of power and take the only way to change, which is respect for the constitution and the law.

And the government said in a statement today, Wednesday: (We are in Libya, and as we look with great anticipation and concern at the development of the unfortunate events in brotherly Niger, we affirm our support for the path of returning to the constitutional order and respect for the legitimacy represented by President "Mohamed Bazoum."

The government added, according to its statement, that from our position as a brotherly neighboring country, linked by geography, history and ethnicities, we warn that external interference in Niger's affairs and attempts to drag it into chaos will increase the seriousness of the crisis and undermine its security and the security of its neighbors.
