Tripoli, July 31, 2023 (Lana) The UN Special Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, renewed the UNSMIL joint commitment to foster sustainable peace and security in Libya, and pave the way for inclusive and transparent elections.

This came during a tweet by Bathily after his meeting yesterday with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi.

"Today, I was received by Presidential Council President Mohammad Al-Menfi, and we had a productive discussion on the latest political developments in the country," Bathily said.
