Tripoli, July 26, 2023 (LANA) - The Chairman of the Council of the National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, met today, Wednesday, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Libya, Didi Ahmed Rifai, and the accompanying delegation.

The Commission stated that the meeting discussed a number of files related to the electoral issue and the importance of the international community's support for the upcoming Libyan elections, and ways to support proposals and endeavors that ensure their success in accordance with international standards.

The Chargé d'Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy affirmed his government's support for the democratic process in Libya by providing supportive technical expertise in the field of managing and implementing the elections, praising the efforts made by the Commission and those in charge of it in order to provide ideal conditions for holding free and credible elections that reflect the will and aspirations of Libyans, according to the Commission.
